Built from inside the problem.
I'm Dr. Sharavanan Raja, an anaesthesiology and critical care physician, and TMR wasn't built by recruiters. I built it after a decade inside India's healthcare system, in the OT, the ICU, and eventually in the rooms where staffing and hiring decisions actually get made. I watched the same gap play out from every side of it.

The gap nobody was fixing
India has one of the largest healthcare workforces in the world and one of the worst-matched. Qualified doctors sit outside the active workforce. Nurses leave institutions after months because the fit was wrong from day one. Hospitals fill critical roles through WhatsApp groups and informal referrals. There was no trusted, verified, community-first layer connecting the two sides.
What I decided to build
Not another job board. Not a staffing agency. A platform that treats healthcare professionals as whole people with career patterns, not candidates to be filled into headcount slots. I built TMR around verification, community, and long-term fit. Every design decision comes back to those three things.
Where we are now
TMR launched with a focus on India and has grown to 575+ members and 5+ hospital partnerships. We're building the community layer that did not exist: specialty directories, peer endorsements, and verified career movement. The hospitals we partner with report measurably better retention. The professionals we place report feeling like the move was right.

Dr. Sharavanan Raja

I'm an anaesthesiologist and critical care physician with over a decade of experience across operating theatres, intensive care units, and the healthcare systems that support them. Throughout my career, I've cared for some of the most critically ill patients, worked in large-scale tele-ICU programs, built and managed multidisciplinary clinical teams, and worked closely with hospitals to improve quality, safety, and workforce performance.
Years of working across healthcare taught me one thing: the quality of care is shaped by the people who deliver it. Yet too often, the right people and the right opportunities never find each other. I saw exceptional clinicians overlooked, hospitals struggling to hire, and teams breaking down because the right fit was never found. That conviction became the foundation for The MedRecRoots. I believe the future of patient care depends just as much on connecting the right people as it does on advancing medicine.
